How it works
How WeekTable works.
A walkthrough in two minutes, using a marked example week. Then plan your own.
Try the example first
- Open the example week. It is marked Example: four people, peanut free, budget friendly, favouring the Nigerian and Caribbean kitchens.
- Read it like a menu. Each day is a card with breakfast, lunch with a side, and dinner as a tasting menu: a starter, the main, a side and a dessert.
- Do not fancy a dish? Press Swap beside it. The next best dish takes its place, and a new main brings sides that suit it.
- Press Shopping list. The whole week is added up for four and sorted by aisle. Tick things off as you shop.
- Press Prep plan to see what to do at the weekend and when to start each meal.
- Press a day, for example Monday, to cook: the ingredients for your table and every step in order.
Then plan your own
- Go to Plan your week.
- Choose how many people, which meals and dishes, your diet, the allergens to leave out and the kitchens you like.
- Answer the five questions, then press Plan my week.
- Keep the plan by keeping its link: bookmark it, or send it to whoever is cooking. Nothing is stored anywhere else.
Words you will see
Tasting menu: a dinner served as several small courses, one after another.
Prep: the jobs done ahead, such as chopping, marinating and making sauces.
Swap: change one dish for another that fits the same place in the meal.
The 14 allergens: the foods UK law says must be shown, such as milk, eggs, peanuts and sesame. The full list.
